AGI Board Members
Adritec Group International E.C. is an offshore private holding company (Exempt Closed Joint Venture Company) duly registered in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It is a holding company with thirteen investments spread across the globe. Its main function is to develop both the product base and technical capacities of each of its subsidiaries and joint ventures in addition to overseeing the implementation of the Groups marketing strategy globally. Its Board of Directors is made up of seven members representing the three different groups of investors in Adritec.
Mr. Hatim Sharif Zu’bi
Chairman of the Board – Adritec Group International
Mr. Hatim held several professional activities during a career spanning over 60 year namely: - Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in England (F.Ch.I.Arb.) / expert on Gulf Laws before the English and US Courts and International Arbitration Tribunals in London, Paris, Geneva and the Hague / member Panel of Arbitrators at the ICC, Paris and at the Euro-Arab System of conciliation and Arbitration, London / Member of Editorial Board, International Construction Law Review, London / Honorary Legal Adviser to the British Ambassador, Bahrain / Member Board of Directors of the Arab Society for Protection of Industrial Property / Middle East Chair, Committee “O” on Litigation - Section on Business Law, International Bar Association / Member of Panel of Arbitrators and Panel of Experts at the Gulf Co-operation Council Commercial Arbitration Centre, Bahrain / Member of the International Court of Arbitration (for Jordan) - International Chamber of Commerce, Paris. He held many positions namely: Advocate, Ministry of Finance, Jeddah and Dammam, Saudi Arabia / Legal Adviser to US Aid Mission to Jordan / Director (Non-Executive) Jordan Hotels and Tourism Co., Amman. Manager and later Deputy General Manager and Director (Executive), Cairo-Amman Bank, Jordan / Vice-Chairman, Jordan Phosphate Mines Company, Amman / Minister of National Economy of Jordan / Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs / Acting Minster of Finance / Minister of Communications / Acting Minster of Transport / Acting Minister of Reconstruction and Development / Minister of State for Prime Ministerial Affairs / Member of the Cabinet Legal Committee in charge of preparation and review of legislation / Chairman of Jordan Electricity Authority and Jordan Agricultural Marketing Organisation / Governor for Jordan, World Bank, Washington DC. / Jordan Budget Advisory Board of Jordan Economic Security Committee. Hatim holds an LL.B., University College, London University, 1949 - Barrister-at-Law, Lincoln’s Inn, 1950.

Dr. Fawaz Hatim Zu’bi

Mr. Fawaz is Founder & CEO of Accelerator Technology Holdings, MENA’s first technology VC fund. He served as Minister of ICT in the Government of Jordan between 2000-2004, leading the liberalization of Jordan’s telecom sector and establishing the foundation of the country’s tech industry. He was a founding member of the Jordan Trade Association, Jordan Quality Association, Young Entrepreneurs Association, and Jordan’s YPO and is a director of the regional WPO and Endeavour Jordan. He served on HM King Abdullah’s Economic Consultative Council and as a Trustee of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development and the Princess Sumaya University for Technology. He established and led the Jordan Education Initiative. He was co-founder and technical director of Adritec between 1984 and 2000 and holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University (1982).

Mr. Tarek Hatim Zu’bi
Vice Chairman & Group CEO
Mr. Tarek is the CEO of Adritec Group International and its Co-founder. He has been in the irrigation business for the last 30 years and is considered to be a pioneer in this business worldwide. His experience includes management, marketing, and a sizeable exposure to all technical matters relating to the industry of irrigation. He continues to be a major contributor to the marketing and product development side of the business within the group. Tarek holds a BSc degree in civil engineering from Duke University.

Ms. Olga Aburdene
Member of the Board of Directors
Ms. Olga Aburdene is a Director of Capital Trust Limited. Ms. Aburdene's responsibilities include sourcing, execution and follow-up across all of the Groups' activities. Prior to joining the Group in 2002, Ms. Aburdene worked at Barclays Capital as a corporate finance analyst on the "Balance Sheet Advisory" team, providing corporate finance and strategic advice to European banks and insurance companies. Previously, she had worked at Linnco Europe, a financial brokerage firm. Ms. Aburdene holds a B.Sc. in Management from King's College London.

Mr. Namek T. Zu’bi

Namek’s experience ranges from Technology Development, Product Management, Business Development, and Venture Investing. He is the Founder and Managing Director of Silicon Badia, a Venture Capital fund investing in early and expansion-stage technology SMEs in the Middle East and the US. Prior to this, he was a Principal at a macro opportunistic fund based in NYC and also held positions at Deutsche Bank AG and UBS AG. Namek graduated Phi Beta Kappa with honors and distinction from Carnegie Mellon University with a BSc in Information Systems and additional concentrations in Business Administration and the Spanish language.

Islamic Corp. for the Dev. of the Private Sector

The Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD) is a multilateral organization affiliated with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group. It is authorized capital stands at $2.0 billion, of which $1.0 billion is available for subscription. The current subscribed and paid-in capital is $875 million and $568 million respectively. Its shareholders consist of the IDB, 51 member countries, and five public financial institutions. Headquarters in Jeddah, ICD was established by the IDB Board of Governors during its 24th annual meeting held in Jeddah in Rajab 1420H (November 1999). The mandate of ICD is to support the economic development of its member countries through provision of finance to private sector projects in accordance with the principles of the Shari’a law. ICD finances projects that are specifically geared to creating employment opportunities and boosting exports. Furthermore, ICD mobilizes additional resources for projects and encourages the development of Islamic financing and capital markets. It also attracts co-financiers for its projects and provides advice to governments and private sector groups on policies aimed at encouraging the establishment, expansion and modernization of private enterprises, development of capital markets, best management practices and enhancing the role of market economy. The ICD holds two seats on the board of directors of Adritec Group International.
